The Process

The use of specific techniques and materials always takes into account their natural characteristics. I blend traditional military methods of working with wood, navigating through Japanese craftsmanship and the practices of Brazilian Amazon tribes. I’m deeply intrigued by the history and properties of natural materials—learning from them, about them, and observing how they influence the final outcome of each piece.

In the design process, my interest extends beyond the aesthetic properties of the objects. Conducting in-depth studies is both challenging and rewarding, as it involves uncovering the natural processes of each sculpture or object, their functional circuits, and their sustainable usability.

In an era where natural resources are increasingly scarce, reflecting on the ecological impact of design is more important than ever. This is why I prioritize working with locally sourced wood, embracing sustainability at every stage of the creative process.
