This series explores the fusion of sculpture and functional design. Anchored in solid wood, the base provides stability to the entire piece, while the pointed tips create a striking, organic texture that flows with the natural grain. A delicate balance between the raw and the refined, the dangerous and the elegant.The top plate is removable, allowing for versatile use— as a tabletop, a decorative platter, or a sculptural centerpiece.The deep red and black lacquer applied to the wood is the traditional Japanese Urushi technique, a natural coating derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, cherished in Japan for centuries for its durability and beauty.Each piece is unique, hand-carved from oak, walnut, and plane tree, and finished with beeswax. The result is a tactile, visually captivating object that bridges art and function.
