Low Table
This low table was created by Uta studio in collaboration with Claroscuro. It began with an old oak slab, preserved for its natural beauty and visible traces of time. Rather than disguising its imperfections, Uta worked to reveal and stabilise them, combining traditional Japanese joinery techniques with resin and inlay work.The surface shows a dialogue of woods, oak, walnut, and ash. Each one inserted with precision to reinforce the structure and rhythm of the grain. The legs are made of solid wood, hand-shaped and finished with Japanese ink, giving depth and balance to the lighter tones above.
